CEHMOB-MG performs several activities aiming at:

- Supporting and carrying out a user-centered care line.

- Determining and regulating medium- and high-complexity procedures by means of a specific official document.

- Widely applying the Care Protocol on Acute Events of Sickle Cell Disease in order to plainly organize and train health professionals for this kind of urgency.

- Actively supervising urgency and emergency units throughout State of Minas Gerais.

- Identifying eventual causes of death on the perspective of the institution.

- Identifying and registering referrals for complex procedures and assistances.
