DREMINAS (Association of Parents, Friends and Sickle Cell Patients from State of Minas Gerais)
Founded by patients with sickle cell disease and their parents and friends in 1991, DREMINAS was first run by Founder President Mr. Milton José Dante.
It aims at providing patients and relatives with information on sickle cell disease, as well as health, emotional and psychological assistance and support, and juridical and technical guidance. It also aims at publicizing information on this physically and emotionally painful disease (e.g., causes, symptoms, consequences, and affected people) to general population.
